It was doing it to me this morning, but I just kept clicking "search" and it worked. Each and every time it wouldn't, it then did!!

The search function from "My Books" is still functional, even for books not yet on your lists, so I'm just using that instead.

That's the best way, Sarah. The new interface is ratsh*t so I move behind it to the pre-existing format and work from there. Saves time and feeding the swear box.

With the council rates coming up it will come in handy, but I'd prefer to spend it on books.

Useful to know Sarah - I used it find the book I've been waiting over 5h look up! It seems weird that the search function still works via that route....
Yes the one at the top of the page is. But if you find one of these boxes, and do the 'add book/author' it works. Then click on the book's link instead of 'add' and you have what you're searching for! I've managed it like that all day :)

Has anyone worked out how to open your own (existing) review page on its own? (Like if you wanted to copy the URL to send to someone.) I don't want to edit it, just to isolate it from the rest of the book page.

Andrea, I've just tried it and it worked for me. If you are on the 'book' page and you can see your review (or start of) click on the 'date' and it will take you to your review on its own. Well, this worked for me anyway. Hope it will work for you. Another thing I have started doing is, when I finish and post a review I copy and past the link into my Word document so that I can always find it. Although this won't work if people don't keep copies.
Has anyone else noticed that the whole site is very slow moving at the moment? Some very long threads even time out before they can open.

Yes, it is happening to me as well :(

Thanks Angela, yes it worked for me. Not exactly intuitive, is it!? I’ll have to practice a few times so I don’t forget.

Yes, very slow. I’ve also noticed the book page keeps ‘slipping’, like it’s continually refreshing so that if you’re trying to scroll down, it keeps taking you back to the top. That would use up a lot of processing power, which could be why the site it so slow.

Yes and how annoying is that. I click on something and end up going somewhere else as the page has moved :(
Very slow - I thought it was just me! And thanks for the tip in finding the review Angela. That'll be hard to remember if we don't do it often.

First: Is anyone able to sort the My Books "date read' column? Mine has timed out every time for days now always defaulting to "Goodreads request took too long."
Second: I have my My Books page set to infinite scroll which displays 30 books when it populates. As you scroll past the 30th book it adds the next thirty, etc.
For the past week, it shows the thirty books and as I scroll past the 30th book it continues scrolling but books from the 1-30th position appear as the books 31-60 position. In other words the same 30 lines over and over.
I've tried on two browsers with the same results for both issues.
Am I alone in this insanity?

Mine is working, but it does take a little while to move from the first 30 books to the next 30 on infinite scroll.
It sorted by Date Read ok. You might try logging out of Goodreads and logging back in, if only for something to do whle you wait for GR to sort itself out. 😂
I had to clear my cache a week or so ago to make something (not GR) work, so that might have helped me now. Good luck, Jonquil!

I haven't had any of these problems, so I wish you luck Jonquil :)

I contacted Help and they replied it's a known issue despite the fact that it is not listed on the known-issues page. They asked that I be patient. I believe I have been astoundingly patient for months now. It would not be this frustrating if things had not worked well before they started changing things OR if I could cite one change they made that I see as an improvement.
Thanks for the safe space, I'm going to blow off steam whipping my yard into shape for a quickly-approaching Tennessee spring.

Thanks, Miss Patty! I tried all those things you suggested on Opera and on Chrome, but of course nothing we do makes a difference if the issue is with goodreads as acknowledged in their response to my Help Desk issue report.
Thanks for taking the time to try to help! :)
And now when I click on my emails to the threads, "That page is not available". When I click on a review link "that page is not available". BUT when I go to AR (which IS available) and click on the red posts (here for example) it works! Good grief!!!

Use Discussions Niamh - that's the only way I can do it and you don't have to scroll through everything :) It's under Community...

Completely dodgy!!
Completely dodgy!!
The old notifications are starting to come through. Almost 24 hours ago, it's now down to just over 10. It might be caught up by tomorrow 😳
I didn't get notification for the last 3 comments - just part of the ongoing and continual issues. I had the same problem yesterday Clare, but it's back again now!!
Clare wrote: "I just checked and it's back. I really hope when I next look its not gone again 😵💫"
Mine are back too. A temporary glitch apparently!

That's me too. And I found red "new" posts earlier today which went back to April and I'd responded to 😳🙄
