Only one person from each family under the age of 18 can be selected when the game begins.
I think they all got watches that kept updates on the status of everyone that was competing.
One family had a girl with a brother that wanted to be apart of it more than her, but he had just recently turned too old.
Spoiler alert: If I remember correctly, she allied with one of the guys and they tied and the book ended with the earth sort of crumbling and elevating the two.

Viegos | 4 comments No, it’s based in New York and other cities around the world and it follows each character, not a main one.

Viegos, is this fantasy or science fiction?

Can you describe the challenges and the skills/powers used?

Viegos | 4 comments I’m sorry, it would be more science fiction. The challenge is to make the other contenders quit by any means necessary. But since they’re all trained killers, it’s usually by death. All of the families have been training for centuries with specific sets of fighting styles and some of them have weapons passed down.
