Sweet! I don't think this will be a quick read, which is why I'm looking at JAN. If you can't get a copy then, I don't mind waiting; from what I saw when I was flipping through it a couple of weeks ago, there's a lot we can discuss and wrestle with in almost every chapter. It's one of those books that I have always heard I should read.

Sounds good! I can let you know closer to the January how things are are looking. If worse comes to worse I could always read it online, I just don't prefer it! Also, you'd be welcome to nominate it for the January group read if you want to! It would be something a little different from what we've read as a group so far, but I think some of our members would really like it!

When in January were you thinking of starting this, Al? I just need to order it from the library. So far they haven't given any indication that they are closing so I'm hoping for the best!

Wonderful!! 😊
I'll be reading Benito Cereno by Herman Melville next month, with another group, although I'll be starting in mid-to-late September. Would any members of this group like to join me in reading this as a buddy read? (Buddy reads don't have to be coterminous with a particular calendar month.)
