I read this book around 2016-2017. It started with a two young girls growing up in California. Then one of them has to have an abortion, there is something with cutting off her toe. Then they go separate ways, one goes to college, and watches her dog get hit by a car. Then the one moves to Goa India and meets a man and they move back to CA, he becomes disabled and they both become drug addicts. They rekindle their friendship meeting back in California as adults. SOMEONE HELP!!!
