-it was definitely fiction
-either ya or contemporary. maybe fantasy?? i can't remember any details except that.

it would be like:
pov 1 "the boy hit a tree with a car" then new paragraph or chapter
pov 2 "with a car, she could go anywhere"

Roughly when (what year / decade) did you read it?

I believe The Braid by Helen Frost uses this technique. It's a novel in verse (written like a poem). Or was the book you remember written like a regular novel (prose)?
