I think it would be hard on anyone to work a case where they know the victim, especially when they have to make the notification to the family. Stella did well keeping everything moving and working the case, but I wouldn't be surprised if this case triggered some of her anxieties.
I think it did heighten the anxieties she was already struggling with and it brought back nightmares. However, I was impressed with how well Stella managed it and did her job.
Stella handled everything very professionally. Yes, she struggled but she didn't allow that to get in they of doing her job.
I agree with everyone. Working a case of someone you know is like a doctor performing surgery on a friend. They can do it but fear the consequences if the outcome is bad.
It was really difficult for her, Being in charge of the investigation of the murder of someone you were once close to was really hart for her. Her boss wasn't very helpful either.
