She is blaming herself for the deaths and injuries. I believe that is understandable especially since they all work so closely. It is interesting that she can't function at the range. I guess she is trying to over adjust to hit her target and ends up going wide which makes her worry even more.
I can understand her feeling guilty about Lance's injury and the subsequent death of two cops. Even though it really wasn't her fault, I can see her having problems dealing with what happened.
What I liked about this is how realistic Stella’s feelings were portrayed. She will never stop thinking about missing that shot and what happened next will always haunt her. It’s starting to paralyze her ability to shoot with confidence. If you’ve ever experienced trauma, this sounds familiar. And, it’s not something that’s often visible. Yet, she powers through it.
Yes, Stella feels responsible for Lance's injury and the deaths of the other two officers. Even though she wasn't to blame, she is human (as Mac says) and her nightmares and problems are the range are manifestations of PTSD.
Stella blames herself for both Lance's injury and the death of the two cops. She is over thinking everything and second guessing her every move. Her problem with at the gun range is part of this.
