SOLVED. YA, Comedy novel. It was written as a diary type, the girl writes in it about her levels of shame. I read this in 2019 and the story seemed like it was set in 2015-2019 perhaps. [s]

The story is following a young girl who is awkward in school. I think her initials was in her uniform, and I remember her repeatingly think it was an embarrassment. The initials were B.U.M. perhaps where I remember U stands for Uley or some of sort. Her parents were vegan and so is her sister but she wasn't a vegetarian of sort. She was also a guitarist...she was well into music. Also there's this strange thing about her family not minding about nakedness because they do a naked dance under the moon monthly like some ritual. But this isn't fantasy I'm sure.

I finished the novel but didn't remember the title. The cover was black but covered with lots of neon doodles and stuff like in a over decorated diary or journal.

The story ended with her getting to perform on stage in her school with her idol musician whom she'd been emailing for weeks or months perhaps.
