Jackie (Literary Escapism) (literaryescapism) Ann Aguirre
Ann Aguirre

In her life, Ann has been a clown, a clerk, a savior of stray kittens, and a voice actress, not necessarily in that order. She grew up in a yellow house across from a cornfield, but now she lives in sunny Mexico with her husband and two adorable children who sometimes do as they are told. Ann writes full-time. Her work runs the gamut from action romance to urban fantasy with a pit stop at romantic SF.

Jackie (Literary Escapism) (literaryescapism) I love this series! It's romantic science fiction suspense (or so her site says), but it's spectacular. I'm not one who likes a lot of science fiction, but Ann really hits a home run with this series.

Paula (pauldajo) I've read the frist two of the Sirantha books. Am waiting on the third to arrive, think at the end of this month. I enjoyed the series. I did get a bit tired of Sirantha's paranoia and constant insecurities. Justified though they were, I thought the author harped on these qualities. I loved that Sirantha grew as a person and started understanding the people and environments around her. In her previous life she was isolated from the 'real' worlds. There are many characters in the books that I want to know more about. I like the fact that with so many aliens running around we just can't judge a book by it's cover.

DarkHeart "Vehngeance" (darkheart) | 168 comments I just discovered her last month and am really enjoying the Jax series. I'm also waiting for my copy of Doubleblind as I'm anxious to see what happens with March and to learn more about Jael and Hit and of course Vel, now that we'll be in his home world.

Jackie (Literary Escapism) (literaryescapism) I just ordered mine. I've heard Doubleblind is out in some stores, but I haven't seen it in my area yet. However, I won't get it until at least next week since I also preordered Friday Night Bites A Chicagoland Vampires Novel which doesn't come out until next week. :(

Paula (pauldajo) I probably should reread the first two books before reading Doubleblind. It seems like I read them ages ago. However, maybe reading Doubleblind will bring back what I have forgotten. I'd like to see Grimspace as a BOM. Like Jackie I don't gravitate toward SF, but this series is very enviting!

Jackie (Literary Escapism) (literaryescapism) Have you read the free stories that Ann has at her site? One is from March's POV (Renegade) and the other is from Vel's POV (Exile's Lament). I haven' read Vel's yet, but I adore Marchs'

DarkHeart "Vehngeance" (darkheart) | 168 comments Ooh, didn't know about those, Jackie. Off to check them out...

Paula (pauldajo) I'll have to take a look, also.

Paula (pauldajo) I received Doubleblind yesterday. As soon as I finish the book I'm reading now, I'll start on it. A tiny bit excited!
