I really struggled with an acronym for this challenge, but it really needed one! I think it was Jane who suggested TART and it's the one that stuck. I tried ART or ARTC, but TART was more fun. πŸ˜ŠπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Task 1 - 0. As a team select your favorite month of 2019 (because 2020 basically SUCKS!) and each player reads a book initially published in that month. No pass for this task.

message 71: by Trip (new)

Trip (shardsofromance) | 2210 comments Id say January, March or September but am happy to go with any.

2019 was a strange year for me, figuring out what i wanted to do with my life. While 2020 has been crazy with covid, i have felt more settled in who i am and progress this year for myself πŸ˜‚

I'm thinking through what's been good.
June was the best month of 2019 since that's when I got married. But I'm sure I can find a good read for any month.

Oh sweet! Thats a lovely memory πŸ’•

I went January as always love the start of the year. Then March was just before my last seasonal work so was really excited for that. Then September when i finally decided i wanted to focus on working in a school and toward being a teaching assistant, SEN.

Also peeked at my shelfs to see which had most options for so πŸ˜‚

Wende | 1741 comments Task1: pick your favorite month in 2019 (March)
Book cover link: Jacked Cat Jive
Jacked Cat Jive (Kai Gracen #3) by Rhys Ford
Page number: 253 pages gr
How it qualifies: published March 5,2019
Date completed: 9/14/20
Rating/review: 5 stars
Kai is such a delicious character. Love him. I skipped book two and I need to read it pronto. I loved it but it needed to have a bit taken out. It had kick-ass then boring bits. (Telling us what we just read happening! Why? We just read it) it was irritating to me. I will read the next book!

Gustaf | 1936 comments Task 1: Pick your favorite month in 2019 (March)
Book: Free Hand
Free Hand (Irons and Works, #1) by E.M. Lindsey
Page number: 203 pages gr
How it qualifies: published March 31st, 2019
Date completed: 9/14/20
Rating/review: 4 stars
This book was something else.

For some reason I read the second book in this series before I read the first one. While it worked out for me (I'm not really bothered by spoilers), some people might want to read this series in order.

Free hand was sweet, tender and absolutely gut wrenching. I am happy that I read the second book first so I had some warnings about Derek's past. I'm not sure if I would've been able to take it if not. I'm such a softie and I'm always having a hard time dealing with these kind of stories.
Basil was amazing. And so fierce. The way he took care of Derek when he really needed it was beautiful.

On to book three!
