Not my favorite from this author. Still good. But for me some of the "funny" fell flat. I think that may have had more to do with the narrator than the story. I kept thinking the I may have enjoyed it more if I had been reading it.
I am looking forward to continuing the series though because I like this world.

I liked this one more than the first book. I enjoyed the way that Hayder really wanted to bring Arabella out of her shell so that she could be more of herself. She was told so long that women had their place and it was very low so it was hard for her to adjust to man who was comfortable enough with himself to be around a strong woman. And to want that too.
I loved the end. But I want to know what will happen with the pack. It was kind of just left open.
Narrator was funny in this one and I will definitely be continuing on with the series.

I quite enjoyed this book, much better than prior installments in the Phoenix Pack series - for me, I think from that earlier series the author’s writing style has improved. Although to be honest, much of the formula is the same though, but I don’t mind that at all because these books are just fun and sexy. Both main characters were great, and I loved the introduction of Ally’s crazy pseudo family, the Holts (is there a series about them??) and the chemistry between Ally and Derren was hot. I do get annoyed though by the ubiquitous appearances by the mean and bitter grandmothers, but that seems to be something the author thinks is amusing and so feels compelled to consistently include.

I wasn't so keen on the relationships, Gareth Donovan and Beth.... we can all see who Beth loves..... why she has to go and muddle everything up is beyond me, she seemed to make huge decisions without talking to anyone to discover the extent of her misunderstandings, Lost in translation seem to be a key factor in this book and i just could not get my head around the decision making....

its crazy I passed by repeair shop tuesday but he was making no headway, he phoned and asked for my passcodes that eve so I will go into the town on Tuesday again c if its ready.....

Review: The 4th book in the series focuses on the relationship between Charlotte and Bram of the Redwood pack and their failed attempt to form a mating bond. The arrival of Shane (a human soldier who had saved one of the Talon pack in the previous book) who had been injected with a serum and shot leads to the Alpha making him part of the pack. Charlotte and Bram both feel the mating bond with Shane and they try to work through what this means whilst trying to protect both packs from the humans who want to harm them. Another good story but I didn’t enjoy it quite as much as the others in the series.

Review: I’m really enjoying this series. I haven’t read many shifter type books but this series is definitely capturing my attention. This is book 3 in the series and continues with the developing relationship between the Talon and Redwood packs and their plans now that they have been outed to the human world. In addition the arrival of an injured witch Leah has led to tensions with the witch community as they have been outed to humans as result of them hunting her and her twin. The witches also wanted Leah and her brother dead which increases the tension as Ryder the heir of the Talon pack has identified her as his mate.

I’m trying to finish up my PtP tonight (from last week) too!

I really enjoyed the set up for this one - Mara is dying of some mysterious disease and is told she has only months to live. Cade, an alpha werewolf, is captured by a fire elemental and is tortured in his wolf form for over seven months before he escapes, finding safety with Mara. Both find healing with one another, and it’s weeks before Cade transforms from wolf to man again, and it was sweet how Mara took care of Cade as he slowly recovered. Mara’s and Cade’s friends were very suspicious and even hateful towards their respective friend’s new love, which I found a bit much sometimes, even though they all came around in the end. The book ran a little too long in my opinion but overall I enjoyed this read.

This one was a hard one to listen to. It was horrible how people can get so distorted. But the case was awesome and I loved how much Dallas wanted to protect Somerset because of how important he is to Roarke.
Oh and we get introduced to McNabb in this one! What fun. He and Peabody sniping at each other. If they only knew, right...
And of course the narration was wonderful. I'm really enjoying go back through this series again!

Review: This book was recommended to me as being similar in concept to the Mindf*ck series. It features a serial killer and an FBI profiler who have a relationship. I guessed who the serial killer was quite early in the story. I think because of how much I love the Mindf*ck series I didn’t enjoy this one as much. It didn’t grip me even though it was a good read!

I enjoyed the vibe of this book, I felt immersed in the restaurant culture of LA, with all it’s high energy, passion, and cutthroat attitude. The interactions between Willow and Cole were hot, but there was also real chemistry between them that went beyond just sex. You could see the feelings of betrayal that Cole was going to feel coming a mile away when Willow gets the chance at her own opportunity, yet it really was the only way it could have played out and kept the balance of power between them. Loved the ending, that said more about Cole’s feelings than words ever could.

This one had some tough moments but some really sweet ones too. Love how Eve is seeing her little circle opening up. I love that Roarke has given that to her.
I knew who the killer was pretty early on. It was frustrating but good to see Eve and the gang work through the case. Nasty stuff there.
And of course, the narration was first rate all the way. Love this series and I'm loving it even more this second time through!
