For Task 69 we picked MM choice awards,But just saw this question answered so not sure they count now
........Lisa wrote: "MK, for the awarding winning category, if a book won a members choice award in the MM Romance Group, would that count or are you mean a literary award like the Lambada(?)."
For that task, the award needs to be listed in the book details under literary awards. I don't know if those awards are listed there
On the book page , it needs to show literary awards won....some of the authors have added that they got a choice award ..others haven't Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda has got loads will.look for some others ..but i dont think any of us have read this particular book
Hey, just a little help out. Check out the rainbow awards they're usually listed, i think thats what i used last time 😊Good luck and happy reading 💕
https://www.goodreads.com/award/show/...
No problem, happy to help and realized that is an award list so all of them are on their gr page as thats of winners/nominees.The category for each is just underneath them so thats what will show under literary awards on the mpgs as far as i can tell. 💕
oh thank goodness, I seriously have no desire to read Simon (I enjoyed the movie, but that's enough. I'm so glad you are watching out for these things Janeylou!
Right , ive put in the link to rainbow awards by task 69 on first page and got rid of other oneI dont really fancy Simon either ..not mad on YA

Review: Oof. If it wasn’t for the fact that I was reading this book for two different challenges, there’s no way I would’ve finished it. I do enjoy a good age gap story, especially when it’s parents best friend, but the writing style did not work for me on this one. It felt like over 90% of this was dialogue, and while I enjoy some good banter as much as the next, this just felt like I was being told the story rather than enjoying it for myself.

Review: This book was kind ridiculous, and pretty effing messed up, but I still enjoyed every moment of it. It’s taboo in multiple ways, but also ridiculously filthy and just a genuinely good read

Review: I really really enjoyed this one. Bertie was the star of the show and not at all what you’d think of a when you think of a dragon, with his constant flirting, hopeless romanticism, and complete scatteredbrainess (making up words now). Arthur was perfect for him with his attention to detail and skepticism, but so much love deep inside him.
I have an arc to read tonight, but can finish one more early tomorrow if needed. I don't want to steamroll anyone else that may want to read 2 books, but I can definitely get one more done tomorrow during the day if wanted :)
I have some good YA's Janine if you ever need one for a challenge I've got a shelf of them.I'm enjoying the Riley Hart - I haven't read/listened to a book by her in awhile. I've got a couple more hours in Fired Up but I'll be done by mid-day tomorrow.

Will do! Also the arc I’m reading is fantastic and I highly recommend it to you all! It comes out on the 6th. Rueberry Orchard by Michele Notaro

Review:
I really enjoyed listening to this sweet, sometimes fun romance, great narrated by Michael Pauley!
Ten years after a stolen kiss at the end of the highschool graduation party, former highschool football teammates and frenemies Ashton "Cocky Carmichael" and Beau "Cranky Campbell" meet again for the first time.
Beau is still living in their hometown, he never left because he wanted to support his mum and his brother Kenny, who has Down Syndrome. Beau is a firefighter now, openly gay, meeting with friends and coaching his brother's football team in his off time.
Ash is a pro football player with a wild reputation, deeply in denial about his sexuality. After yet another scandal he doesn't get a new contract and goes back to his hometown to get a grip on his life.
Beau and Ash spend more and more time together, often also with Kenny, who is an awesome secondary character.
While Ash and Beau's relationship slowly develops to friends and then lovers, Ash is working through a lot of self discovery, struggling to find his own identity, until he's finally proud of who he truly was.
And yeah, okay, hometown hero Beau might be too perfect to be real, but hey, this is fiction and I just loved his character. ;)

Review: It's nice to get back to Riley Hart, and listening to Michael Pauley is never a hardship. This is a good couple and Hart does a nice job bringing these two together slowly so it doesn't seem fake or forced. I wish there'd been a few more "first time" experiences between the men bc Riley Hart writes them so well! Still, a nice story and a terrific audiobook.

I'm most likely doing The Persistence of Memory for my second book and will probably just read through the series. As the first two books are both shelved on the RRRC's bookshelf, I can easily do 3 books again if wanted 😊
oh boy, choices choices choicesI've got two audiobooks I need to review and neither are on the list. Okay, I'll try to pick something fast.
Are you sure Amanda ,Ive just been trying to find 2 books about 200 pgs each to read ..i feel awful you picking up the extra books .Most of my challenge books are 300 pgs ish and no way i can read 2 of those in 2 days .
So been looking for something else
I honestly don’t mind, I’m not actually reading more than I normally do, the challenges are just picking the books for me lol. I just don’t want anyone else to feel like they should get to read 2+ books and I’m over here doing 3. I’m easy going about it, but since I’m already going to read that number of books, it’s no hardship. We close on our house in 2 weeks so I assume I’ll slow down while we move (unless I can get whatever needs to be read on audiobooks) so that’s when I’ll probably slow down for a little.

I think I’m gonna be better about adding books to RRRCs shelf in the future so in a year I can use more that I want lol. It looked a bit random and was kinda hard to find things I really wanted to read.

yeah I haven't had any luck yet but I'm going to get busy asap - I've been beta reading Kc Wells' Christmas story (chapter by chapter as she's writing it) and she sent two chapters tonight. OMG, it's so funny!
oh my god - Bond is on the shelf and it's the only one of the series I haven't listened to... sooo tempted!
Amanda, if you haven't had a chance yet to read Disasterology 101 it's excellent and it's on the shelf.
I’ll keep an eye out for the Christmas story!! And how is Bond the only one you haven’t listened to?? It’s the best of the bunch, I highly suggest it (although the newest spin off is up there too). I actually have read it! I wish it was on audio, I think it would make a great listen. I keep saying if I ever won the lottery I’d fund a bunch of audiobooks
I'll bet it will be an audiobook, and Leslie always gets them for GRR so I'm sure it will be soon!I also haven't listened to Enjoy the Dance and I own that one too. My last few Iggy Toma books have included co-narrators so I'm tempted by that one also.
I'm going to load them both up to my phone and pick in the morning.
I'm sure Wells' Christmas story will be a freebie - it's super hot - virgin 18 year old with a teacher from his high school. But it's all legal, he was never his teacher and the kid has already graduated.
I actually liked Enjoy the Dance (at least that's what my review says), but I think it was more political and family based than romance driven

Review: This book had so many things I love. An atypical shifter, a growly possessive mate, and a good mystery they must work together to solve (although it’s not completely solved at the end of this one unfortunately). Narration by Iggy Toma was the icing on the cake and made for one fabulous story.

Review: It hasn’t been that long since I first read this series, but I still forgot how completely intriguing this story was. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever read before, and I really enjoy the novelty of it. I do feel it reads more as a serial than a series, as this first book is more a setup, and I highly suggest having the second ready to keep the story going!

Review: I LOVED getting Elijahs perspective (still a little salty that the last book is back in Daniels perspective). These two are slowly figuring out their relationship, while also trying to deal with Daniel’s family drama, and I think this book does a wonderful job of making you root for a happy ending for both issues.

I am doing Enjoy the Dance and it's very political. I went to undergrad in Saint Paul so I enjoy when they talk about local landmarks, and Iggy Toma of course
Right..that 'political' word has put me off 😄😄😄Which is a shame , as i was hoping for another moment like in the first book when Ed saw Laurie in his tights for the first time 😄😄😄

PtP was tough bc I literally had nothing with an animal on it that I wanted to read or listen to. I ended up with the third Granby Knitting audiobook and it's so dull. But I already owned it and it's not too long, I'm just not in the mood for Amy Lane at all.
