SPOILERS. YA book about a guy who seems to hate his life and he is a misfit. He likes a popular girl in school and she has a bad boy boyfriend. The main character is an orphan I think and he lives with a bunch of other younger kids with nuns? He has a best friend but his friend ends up dying in a car accident with him. He blames himself for awhile and his best friends girlfriend forgives him. The popular girl he likes starts sneaking over to his “house” and hanging out with him. In the end they get together. The title of this book caught my attention in high school I read it around the year 2017. That’s all I can remember.
