Katie (ktmac_1) If you have not read the Flavia De Luce series, you have missed out on discovering the most precocious, hilarious, and curious detective that was ever created on paper. Flavia is a chemist with a knack for finding trouble and getting under people's skin. She is also only eleven years old. She lives with her father and two older sisters who live to make Flavia's life horrible. Set in the 1950's in the small town of Bishop's Lacey, England, Flavia uses her talents to help the local detectives solve crimes.
This is the fourth installment of the series (yet another series I need to catch up with) and I hope, like the last three, it will not disappoint. These books are mysteries but not dark and suspenseful. I would lightly compare them to the TV series "Murder, She Wrote," yet with snarky British humor. This could have been my funny book if you look up some of the quotes from these books. Alan Bradley is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine.

Ali Oh, I love this series, and Flavia is a gem!

I haven't read this one, so I'll be interested to hear what you think of it.
