The demon/devil possibly had super speed? Group gets seperated, hunted down. Demon "mates" with female. One person dies in the boiling pool I think.

I think it had Hell in the title but I'm not 100% and unfortunately don't remember anything about the cover.
I just found it! Hell-o-ween by David Robbins. I typed hell cave book into Google and voila. Remembering the "hell" part of the title was the clincher. Yay so happy now.
