This thread is for any authors in the group. If you self-published a book(s) this is the place for you to drop the link, so I can add it to our bookshelf and potentially consider adding it to a future poll.

message 9: by Eliude (new)

Eliude Santos | 3 comments I have published four books. Unfortunately, they’re in Portuguese and haven’t been translated to English yet. Anyways, the books are:

O LIVRO DE MALCO: O MANTO DO CAÇADOR (2012) - The title in English could be The Book of Malco: The Hunter’s Garment, which is about a tyrant emperor who ends up in the possession of the garments made by God in the Garden of Eden and uses them as an armor that allows him to hunt the peoples of the Earth and enslave them all, as well as the story of the guy chosen by the Gods to prevent the emperor from building his empire and enslave his people.

QUANDO A VIDA GRITA PRA SER OUVIDA (2016) - The title in English could be When Life Screams Out to Be Heard, which is a short story book about life, love and death, each short story with a different writing style and genre (love story, fantasy, LGBT adventure, horror story, parable, poem in prose, fable, etc)

NO PRINCÍPIO ERA O VERBO (2018) - The title in English should be In The Beginning Was Chaos, which is the story of an entourage of Gods who come to Earth to plant a Garden and, making a man and a woman, she escapes from the Garden and they live separate lives in the first one thousand years of mankind’s existence. It’s a book about parenthood and relationship.

ESPINHOS NO BOSQUE SAGRADO (2019) - The title in English should be Thorns in the Sacred Grove, which is about prejudice, politics, religion and sexuality.

Richard Coady | 1 comments Hi Abby -

Great idea for a group!

Could you add my book? Thanks a lot!

The Maya Papyrus

The Maya Papyrus by Richard Coady

Here's the blurb:

In the Valley of the Kings, a team of archaeologists has unearthed a secret that has lain buried for over 3000 years. Hidden in Nefertiti's tomb is a bundle of papyrus sheaves. Although badly decayed, the documents have survived well enough to tell an epic tale of war, murder and treachery...

Thuya is a woman who craves greatness. Her son, Aye, is a man who will stop at nothing to attain it. Together they will concoct a scheme so monumental in its scope that it will mould the reigns of Egypt's kings and rewrite the future of the known world.

The Maya Papyrus is populated with some of the most extraordinary characters in history: Tutankhamun, the boy king; Akhenaten, the deformed tyrant; Akhenaten's queen, Nefertiti, whose beauty remains legendary three millennia later.

Who among them can stand against a man willing to risk everything to achieve immortality?

Suzan Jackson (suejackson) | 4 comments Happy to find this group!

I published my 2nd book (first was traditionally published) in February 2020 - great timing, right? ha ha It's available in paperback from Amazon and as an e-book on all major platforms (and I'm working on getting it published more widely so it is available through bookstores and libraries, too).

Finding A New Normal:
Living Your Best Life with Chronic Illness

Whether you are in the early days of living with chronic illness or have been at it for years (or decades), there are always challenges in living a life framed by limitations and restrictions, where isolation is a common issue. This guide provides inspiration, advice on emotional coping, and guidance on living your best life with chronic illness from someone who’s been there. Though it seems impossible at first, your life will eventually settle into a new normal, and while that life may be different than the one you had planned, it can still be a vibrant, fulfilling life based on strong relationships, a healthy emotional state, and finding joy in every day. The emphasis in this book is on LIVING your life, not just enduring it.

You can find links to all the different formats here:

www.suzanjacksonbooks.com

And here is its Amazon page:

https://amzn.to/2SovXnk

Thanks! I look forward to finding other self-published authors/books in this group!

A journey to the center of the universe …
Humanity’s final days …
A strange midnight visitor ...
A faster than light test with unforeseen results …
Writings found in a desolate world …

These are some of the short stories in this collection, written in the style of the early science fiction writers when imagination trumped scientific knowledge. In addition, some short post-apocalyptic tales and poems are included in this new book by Leon Stevens.

It is available for presale on Kindle:
