ABANDONED. Fantasy novel about 2 teens getting transported to a different world. The only thing I remember is a band going down a river towards a water fall and the protagonist tries to help them.

The only other part i remember is the main villain coild be killed with a word and the main characters were questing to find the full word

I read it a few years ago and the teens didn't get along that well from what I remember. They were transported separately and only met later in the story
