Station Eleven
question
Your thoughts on the novel. How did you enjoy the plot?
I really liked the book, but to be honest, I was expecting much more plot interconnection between the characters. It was interesting, but i felt the main characters lacked depth. Would have loved to read more about the rise of the prophet.
I enjoyed it but not as much as I thought. It would have been a 5 star if I felt a climax or a peak. But its written beautifully and made me anxious. Especially reading it as covid was becoming big!
I liked this book a lot. It was well written and engaging, but there were times I put it down and didn't pick it back up until I forced myself to. I think the characters were good but not very deep. I ended the book feeling like there could have been more. But it was still an interesting plot.
I just finished this book. I absolutely loved it. She just has a way of writing. I'm now reading The Glass Hotel.
One of the biggest criticisms I have found with Station Eleven is that the characters are not well developed. I do see what people mean, but I felt like it worked because she was kind of just giving a snapshot of lived experiences. I don't really know how to articulate it. Like, I think she kept you somewhat distant in a way, deliberately.
