Educated Initial Thoughts

For this month, we will discuss "Educated" by Tara Westover. It's a coming-of-age story about a woman who was born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho and her education. When Tara is 17, she steps into a classroom for the first time in her life since her father didn't want her and her siblings to go to school. Over many years, she obtains degrees from Brigham Young University and from Cambridge University, but it comes at the cost of severing ties with her fierce family. What are you initial thoughts?
