Leave your thoughts about the end and the book as a whole here!
:)
For those of you that were in the group back then, we read another Stephen Graham Jones book (last October I believe) - The Last Final Girl.
If you did read it, let me know how The Only Good Indians compares!

Nym (nymheriaaa) | 32 comments I almost skipped out on this month's book club pick...so glad I didn't. I loved this book and gave it 5 stars. I found it a refreshing entry into the horror genre. Obviously, I haven't read every horror that exists but this is the first horror inspired by Native American Folklore i have read that effects Natives and goes into detail about everyday life as a Native, rather than some white family that happens to move on or near an Ancient Indian Burial Ground.

I found all of the characters different POVs compelling, and the death scenes were all crazy...some will be stuck in my head forever. Looking forward to everyone else's thoughts :)

I'm with you, Nymheria! I wasn't so sure about the second part, but this last bit really drove it home. This was SO different from the last Stephen Graham Jones book we read in the best way. I loved the folklore aspect and the idea of passing these stories down through the generations...it's very fitting that the story ends with Denorah. You can also see how much of a horror fan Jones is, the scares and the gore were great!
This is up there with The Changeling as one of my favorites that we've read in this group so far.
