Use this thread to discuss possible books you want to read for the challenge or ask for help with finding books that fit!

Nancy (fancynancyt) | 1842 comments For the poem prompt, does the poem's title count? I have a couple of books with "beginner" in the title.

Bunny Merrill | 32 comments For the author that was won the award (Nov 2c), do we have to read the book that they won for?

Stephanie (thelittlebookishnerd) | 87 comments Would Murder in Old Bombay by Nev March count for November 3a (green or yellow cover)?

I say yes, as long as yellow is the majority color

Where is this folder on our group site? I don't see it anywhere, so I can only get to it by going to the link in the Sept newsletter. I can see the Summer Challenge just fine.

It's allllll the way at the bottom of the group's main page. Past the archives. It would be helpful if an admin could move it up.

Alicia Ellsworth (sanukipityreads) | 135 comments For the prompt...a character has a disguise. Would it work that the person that is everyones friend, who they all think is kind and wonderful is actually a murderer?

Kim (kmyers) | 539 comments For a book published in Sept, Oct, or Nov - does it count if the book was originally published in one of those months, but you're reading an edition (kindle, etc.) that wasn't?

message 16: by Alicia (new)

Alicia Ellsworth (sanukipityreads) | 135 comments Kim. Make sure when you chose the link for your book to go into other editions and chose the one with the month of sept, oct or November

Viktoria Valkova | 102 comments A question to anyone who has read Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine

Does it work for "c. Read a book featuring a character who struggles with their mental health."?
Because I found it on some lists, but I haven't read it yet and I'm not sure.

Yes, it certainly does! Mental health is an explicit theme in that book.

Traci (tracibartz) | 1275 comments October, 4. Halloween, a. Read a horror book.
I've read a couple that have horror listed as a genre by people on GR, but I'm guessing they wouldn't be marketed as horror. I've also in the past read some books marketed as horror but that read to me like dystopian fiction.

So, I guess, I'm wondering, would people count a book that has horror listed as one of it's top "genres" on GR?

I would say that if it's tagged on the homepage for horror, it would count!
