SOLVED: Children's/YA > SOLVED. Children's book late 90's possibly 2000 there are two sisters one loves dance and is always praised, the other is tomboyish. A lady comes to assess the girl for ballet but realises the tomboy is better suited. [s]

Thatkliqkid | 25 comments I think the book was pink? It was possibly an anthology of three stories although I could be mistaken. One sister was very girly and liked dance and this lady comes to assess her, I remember her being more interested in the tomboy sister and having her remove her socks in the kitchen so she can see her feet and she comments that her toes are the right length for pointe dancing. At the end there is a show and I think the tomboy gets into a dance school? Possibly part of a series.

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't think that's it. I remember the characters having parents, they weren't orphans.

Thatkliqkid | 25 comments Ah thank you Robert I've found it. It is Supermouse by Jean Ure https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/sho...

And I originally read it in "Complete Ballet stories" by Jean Ure.
