Fandy Liu (coolkid403) | 8 comments I have been searching for this book for years and I read it when I was very young so I have been struggling to find answers. One of the main characters is a young boy, I would say around 13 or so. He has telekinetic and as well as telepathic abilities. The only viable memory I have of the plot is he is walking home and is confronted by two boys, and according to my fuzzy memory, the young boy knows the two boys. The two boys seem older and start making the young boy upset, I think one of the things the boys said was about the young boy's father. It made the boy very mad, mad enough to use his mind powers to violently lift the boy into the air, scaring the crap out of him. The young boy is only stopped when an older looking man, in a suit, comes out of a car and convinces the young boy to put the boy down. The man then convinces the two boys to not speak a word about what they witnessed and to say that if anyone asks, that they were just playing at the park. After the boys walk off, the older man says that what the young boy did wasn't ok, but he would've done the same thing, considering what the boys were insulting him about. This is the only part of the entire series that I can remember at best. If anyone has any idea what book I'm talking about, I would truly appreciate it. I don't remember the name of the author or the title.

Fandy, around what year did you read this book? A range of years is fine.

Please copy more plot details from your message #1 to the topic header/title, so someone could recognize your book from that description alone. Many members only read the headers.

We have thousands of book requests. We close threads with vague headers.

Click the small "edit" link after the topic header. This only works on the full Desktop website - not the Mobile website or app. (On the Mobile website, there's a "Desktop version" link at the bottom of the page.)

I read the book many years ago, maybe 7 years ago or so?

I appreciate the effort but I don't think that's the one.

I have expanded my topic header, how do I make the comment be seen by more people?

Escape to Witch Mountain?

The Amazing Power of Ashur Fine?

I also thought of The Antrian Messenger, but it looks like you ruled that one out.

I really appreciate your effort but the book was apart of a series I believe and I read it so long ago there are just too many details that I can't remember. I also have another thought, which may or may not have been in the book but, the boy with the mind powers somehow subconsciously enters his mother's mind and starts burning everything, I think it was because the thought of the brother being gone destroyed her. I don't know but for some reason, my gut tells me that the title had the word Mind in it. Though as you can probably see, the internet didn't help much. However, it seems like you have read quite a bit of books yourself, seeing that you helped so many other people find books.

You bump it by typing a new comment - or just "bump."

However you can only do this every 30 days (from the last comment in the thread), because the group is so large. The group rules are at the top of the group's home page.

Rainbowheart | 28686 comments I know you said you read it about 7 years ago. Did the book look new when you read it?

How many books were in the series?

Did you read the book in English? Do you remember what country it took place in?

At the time, the book looked new. I think the cover looked like it was a book that was made in the 2000s, at least. I think there were three books in the series, maybe more. I really wish I remembered more about this book, but something about the story drew me in a lot.

I actually went to the library when I first wanted to find it, stood at the desk with the guy for maybe an hour, with little to no progress. The book is in English, for sure. For some reason, I have a feeling it took place either in the US, or the UK. I could be completely wrong but then again, who knows. I don't know if anyone else had read the book or has any insight about it.

Regardless of my desperate desire to finding this book, I don't want to waste every moment searching for it. I'll probably just bump it every once in a while to see if anyone can bring me some luck. I really do appreciate you helping though. If you have any other ideas, feel free to tell me. :)

Please note you can bump your thread (post a comment) every 30+ days, because the group is so large.

If you remember new details, you can add them at any time.
