This is a romance novel.

Heroine is a royalty who flees from home (due to media/family pressure, not a 100% certain of the reason she decides to leave home). To disguise herself, she cuts her hair and wears plain clothing to blend in with people. A little while after she left home, she gets caught in a storm and her car ends up in a ditch. The hero grudgingly helps her, she ends up staying with him until her car is fixed. The Hero is an archaeologist (I think) who had a recent work related injury that made him grumpy. He had to stay home (in an isolated/sparsely populated area) while healing and the heroine helped him type out his work as a way to pay him for letting her stay.

* The Heroine dressed in normal clothes but had an expensive watch she wore, which made the hero know she was wealthy even though she never spoke of her wealth.
* When the Hero found out she was a highly ranked royalty he felt deceived and they parted on bad terms.
* The Hero happened to be a low ranking royalty, he did not consider himself one though (until his mum pointed it out).

I was not able to finish reading this book, so I don't know how it ends.
I probably read this book between 2003-2009.
