Debbie wrote: "Debbie G's Shelf"Sorry about taking so long to pick books for you, my brain doesn't like functioning lately, and it especially hates the memory section right now. -_-
Anyway, for your old book, you can dust off
, and for your new, not-as-dusty book,
. And we had very few books in common that I'd read but you hadn't, but I at least found
, which I thought was pretty good (Susan Wiggs' books usually are), and hopefully you will too. ^_^Again, my apologises.
Connie N. wrote: "Hi, VampAmber"Thanks for the picks. I freaking adore the White Trash Zombie series, and I'm pretty sure I'm just far enough into the Sookie Stackhouse series that the you know what is about to hit the fan, at mach 3. And I've heard both good and bad things about the Rocker Chick series, so it should be interesting to see which side I end up on. ^_^

Not a problem at all. I understand the whole functioning issue. My step-mother was placed in memory care and my hubby and I are trying to keep my dad in his home. So now we work full time and then go to his house and we are not home until 9pm in the evenings. Life gets a bit off the rails at times. The picks are great. I like light reading and these are good!

Thanks I will hopefully get to all 3 - I'll have to try the bonus in Audio - the narration is highly recommended by a lot of people.
Danielle Gypsy Soul wrote: "Karen ♐ wrote: "Danielle, for you I pick

I think that audio is going to be a good one with the whole cast. I love those.
Kari wrote: "For Joanna:I'll pick
and bonus
. Hope you enjoy them!"Finished the third book yesterday. Especially loved the Terry Pratchett one - of course ;)

Made it just under the wire this month! I read both the shelf picks but couldn't get the bonus book from the library in time. I really liked both - the City Noir series is one of my favorites and this Oakland collection was particularly gritty and satisfying, a mixture of street crime, tragedy and escape to the smoother surface of the city. Wherever You Go was a great three perspective view into life in contemporary Israeli and the different paths, sometimes devatsating that each character takes toward altering their lives for what they hope is the better. I particularly like the story of Yona Stern, who's seeking redemption for a long regretted betrayal of her now-radicalized sister two decades ago. Five stars.

fleurette wrote: "Hi Lexi,"Thank you, I read Elatsoe - which I adored and suggest the entire world read. It is a wonderful story about family and also ghost trilobites. - 5 stars. I also listened to A Conspiracy in Belgravia. I do not listen to a lot of audios but really enjoy this series as an audio so thank you. - 4 stars.
