SOLVED. More in description. Dragon book i read years ago and forgot name and Author

Hi all, thank you for looking into and helping! I believe this is a YA novel, but am not sure. I read this book years ago and i even used a thread like this to find the name. Unfortunately it was on a old account that i no longer have access to. Here is what i remember.

Boy( maybe even a teen?) finds a baby dragon (or possibly egg?) and takes it home. I believe he live in a research facility? or somewhere that does studies with animals. Unless im mixing two book i believe there are other animals on the compound. Another scene that i remember is that he tucks the baby dragon into his shirt to do skin to skin to keep the baby warm. I also think maybe the baby was white? Later in the book he takes the dragon to a cabin when it had gotten bigger, they were in a field when i huge black dragon appears and (talks?) to the boy. Another scene is they go with the black dragon to underground tunnels filled with other dragons. (I think the dragons are able to communicate with the boy?) Anyways this is all that i remember and ive been looking everywhere for this book. I would really love if you are able to help me, thank you.
