SOLVED. Young Childrens book from 80's to early 90's with animals that act like humans

It had beautiful illustrations to go with the stories. I think there were four or five. The first story (I want to say they were ducks?) was the duck kids being taken to the zoo. Apparently other animals were just animals. Anyway all three ducks get lost and the adult ducks have to recall each ducks favorite animal to find them.

I think the second story was one animal being invited over for tea or lunch and the hostess has to go to the store to get some things. I think the one she invited over, it was her birthday?

I don't remember the other stories. This book would be for kids younger than nine.

My Ready To Read Stories by June Woodman looks like it has the ducklings / zoo story, 'Three Dizzy Ducklings', but I'm not sure about the second story you remember - perhaps it's the last story in the book, 'Polly Pig and the Bee', where they go to buy sweets? Or the book could be another collection by the same author.
