Pen Isaranuwatanakul I read the book first before watching the movie. As for me I liked the book version a little more than the movie. It's a good book to read and the movie is good too. There's a more interaction between Lara Jean and her next door neighbor in the book. I would to know what other members in here feel and think about this. I will wait for responses or comments. Hope you enjoyed the book if you already had finished reading recently.

Lyds Madill I actually enjoyed the movie a lot more than the book. I thought is was funnier and the casting was perfect. I couldn't make up my mind on if I liked Lara Jean in the books because of some of the descriptions about her and how she acts but the movie made it come together for me. The books are still amazing though! Really fun reads.

i wstched the movie first then read the book. I think books have
interesting and funnier datails and show the nature of character
better.

Ariza I liked the book better because it showed her relationship with John Ambrose and Peter. I wish the movie portrayed Peter as more of a mysterious guy rather than a jerk to Lara Jean. Because of the whole "scrunchie dilemma with Gen". I also disliked there was not a lot of scenes with Josh because he did kiss Lara Jean and confronted his feelings toward her.

Hana Rahma Read the books first and I love it. The movie adaptation did a good job despite they cut some my favorite scene from the books. So I guess I love rhe books a bit better.

Gigi I liked the first movie better than the book, and the second book better than the movie. The casting was PERFECT, and the aesthetics and filming of the first movie was def the greatest and I found that I really liked the overall presentation of the movie better. However, in the case of the second movie, I found it somehow lacking in these aspects and I wasn't able to connect with the characters as much.
JMO though!

Maro I like the book, first it's show the truth from every view, second you live with them well the movie made you imagined the characters faces when you read and see the whole story, third love books and every page of it its like you walk into it you know what i mean

Kristi I read the trilogy prior to watching the movie and honestly, I prefer the book over the movie. Although I do love Lana Condor and Noah Centineo, I didn't think the movie did the book justice in capturing certain characters' personalities and the complexity between each character's relationships - like the relationship between Laura Jean and Gen. The movies are a good pass time when I'm in the mood to relive the book but in like a short time span though.

Alds ♡ Def, the trilogy is better than the movie. They cut out a lot of sweet and swoon-worthy moments from the book. I'm kinda bummed of how the film portrayed Lara jean and Ambrose's relationship. It is so much more in the book! But ofc I can't blame it since it is only a movie. I hope they made it a series.

Lalin I first watched the movie, then read the books. I think movie was better because the thing got too much complicated and it was unnecessary. In the movie I got much more Lara Jean vibes.

C Both are good in different ways: I watched the movies then read the books. I would do it that way again.
The movie casting was phenomenal as well as the movie "characters." Movie Lara Jean was a bit more mature, without taking away from the intentional "immaturity" that was the entire crux of the story. Movie Noah was more likable and way more charming which meant I was rooting more for him and LJ as a couple. Movie kitty was freaking fantastic. I was definitely left wanting more, as is always the case when comparing movies/novels- especially when I found there was a 3rd part of the story not yet made into a movie. Reading the books, I brought the "movie characters" with me, which was good because I otherwise may have found LJ to be a bit whiny and Noah to be a bit less sympathetic.

Bruna ♡ i like the movie better, because reading the book - which is written in first person - i get to know all Lara Jean's weird thoughts, and how she makes a little problem into a big one in her mind all the time. the Lara Jean i got to know reading the book was a spoiled kid that freaks out for the smallest things.
in the movies for me is another person. i actually borgot the books because of the first movie which i adored! she is portrayed being a sweet girl, and since in the movie i don't know her every single thought, for me she is just a normal girl. a little naive, but normal.
i don't even have the will for reading the rest of the books (i bought all 3 because it was a sale). i was even surprised at myself because i have never liked the movie more than the book. EVER! but i guess there's always a first time.

Simi This is questionable... So I liked the first book very much and I think that the book and a movie are equally good. BUT not the second movie versus second book. I didn't like it. I mean the movie itself is okay but not good, but when I think about the fact that many amazing things and my favourite parts from the second book were missing in the movie, I automatically dislike it. First of all why was John Ambrose some 'random dude' and not Stormy's grandson? I am still not over the fact that they didn't include the game assassin (I had to google it). That really made me angry, because it was my favourite part. And they didn't have the cake recital like in the books where they had to pic the cake they stopped at and Peter told his brother to pick Lara Jean's. I think they portrayed Peter badly in the movie. But I appreciated the bonding thingy with LJ and Gen. But the ending was a no from me. I don't exactly remember how it was in the books, but I don't think LJ just ran to Peter after the kiss. And the necklace!!! The one he gave her for Valentine. They didn't tell us the 'story' behind it, that LJ like it for a long time. That was disappointing. I just think that the second movie wasn't as good as the first one.

Barbie I had watched the movie prior to reading the book and I would like to say both of them are phenomenal. My only issue is the speed in which the movies are, in the first TATBILB movie it went through the first and a little bit of the second book all in one movie, whilst the second movie felt very slow. HOWEVER the books are absolutely perfect, there is not one unlikeable character and I truly think the book is adorable absolute 12/10 would read over and over and over.

Jose Carlos la película es malísima, no me gusta, no me da ni risa, ni siento ese romance que pude leer... y lo peor que le tenía fe, el libro es muy bueno, divertido a decir verdad que mal Netflix me falla con esta adaptación

Hm this is a kinda hard. I've read all 3 books and watched both movies. I loved the movies, they are some of my favorite movies and because of Noah Centineo ( who doesn't love him!?) But I really loved the books! I like the characters better in the books, and the plot. So I think I like the books better!

shayna i read this series forever ago, but the books were way better than the movies! as expected, so many important details were left out because they had to fit it into a time frame.

Jose Carlos Exacto! Los libros son mucho mejores siempre! 📚

Madelon I watched the first movie first and then I read the first book. After that, I read the book first and then watched the movies. I personally think the books are way better. Especially, the second and third. My favorite parts from the books weren't in the movies, so the movies weren't as romantic. The movies were your typical romantic movie, but the books were so magical and the absolute love story.

Mandy I watched the movie before I read the book. In my opinion their both pretty good. I think the book showed more insight to Laura's home life and friends, etc. While the movie shows more insight onto her relationship. It really depends on what you like more. I think the book also gave more insight to her culture and family situation which I enjoyed because the movie didn't talk much about her culture (being half-Korean). As another half-asian it would have been refreshing to see what types of culture do they bring into their household with like me an American dad.

Via I love the movie in the aspect of the visuals meaning the outfits. The way how the story-line was demonstrated in the book was better than the movie. The book was more realistic and had less holes in the story-line. I still love the movie though.
