Shannon (theholyterror) | 115 comments Whoops, I posted this in the non-spoiler thread when I meant to put it here.

I just wanted to post a friendly reminder that when you post, please UNCHECK "Add to my Update Feed" or else you could spoil something for your friends!

FlibBityFLooB | 0 comments I finished ROGUE last night.

Poor Faythe should not ever go into another basement again *laugh* She has the worst luck! Or, at least, not another basement with cages in it. Silly girl.

I think it will be interesting to see how the council tries Faythe for turning/killing her former beau. I look forward to reading about that :)

I still love Jace. I hope to see more of him in future books. Marc seems abusive to me, even if I like alpha-men. I don't know...

I absolutely hated Marc in the first book and didn't understand what Faythe saw in him. Now I read all the books and let's say, he has reasons to act the way he does.
But if you like Jace you should definitely read the other books.

FlibBityFLooB | 0 comments I think I know what I don't like about Marc.

I don't like the character of Faythe when she's paired up with him. She comes across as a meanie.

However, when she's interacted with Jace, she is playful and fun -- without seeing mean.

I don't know that Marc is abusive, but I don't like how their relationship comes out.

Then again, I might just be reading too much into things. hehe

DarkHeart "Vehngeance" (darkheart) | 437 comments I admit that I wasn't a fan of Marc in Stray, but I grew to love him over the course of the series. Jace is brilliant - there's no disputing that, but I don't think he and Faythe are right for each other.

message 7: by Tina (new)

Tina | 39 comments I like Marc and Jace. I like Faythe's chemistry with BOTH men, but Marc is her first true love ... Jace can't beat that.

message 8: by Jess (new)

Jess | 3721 comments I liked Marc in the first one, I actually like him through all the books. I also like Jace. I have a hard time choosing between them.

My problem is with Faythe. I just don't like her. lol.

message 9: by FlibBityFLooB (new)

FlibBityFLooB | 0 comments Jess - I think I don't really like her either, but I like her more when she's with Jace ;)

I'm hoping she'll grow up a bit more in book 3. I shall see!

DarkHeart "Vehngeance" (darkheart) | 437 comments She grows up more with each book - although still makes stupid mistakes. sigh...

lol! I guess if she didn't make her mistakes there'd be no series. :)

Courtney Voss (courtneyrvoss) | 2 comments I always liked Marc but I couldn't stand Faythe for a while. She's grown up a bit from book 1 to 2 but I think Jace is immature. I love how intense Marc is--he sure does know how to be a leader.

DarkHeart "Vehngeance" (darkheart) | 437 comments Definitely - with Marc at her side, the South Central pride would be incredibly strong; he's a natural leader.

Ahh Jace. He grows up too, he just needs a bit more time. I actually think he'll make an awesome alpha one day (and have my spoilerish theories on his future).

message 14: by Emma (new)

Emma O (emmielou0110) | 8 comments I like Marc. He does have some quirks to him, but I think he is a good match for Faythe. I also think Jace is a good match for Faythe, but Jace isn't in her heart like Marc is.

Faythe drives me crazy in this book. She needs to grow up a lot, but I like this series because hopefully we will get to see the evolution of Faythe from someone who runs from her family to embracing it.

Courtney Voss (courtneyrvoss) | 2 comments Oh yeah-- Jace will definitely make a good Alpha once he grows up (which I think he will...probably in SHIFT(?) which comes out in 2010). I've read all of the books so far and really love them; I didn't think I would when I started the series, but you really can see that Rachel Vincent's plan for the Shifters series was to "raise" Faythe from spoiled brat into a devoted Tabby who cares more about her Pride than she does about herself.

FlibBityFLooB | 0 comments I became inpatient and read book 3. I'm currently reading book 4 (only about 75 pages into it, though).

Are we going to continue reading these in Mini-Reads?

Also, this is just silly. Rachel Vincent's blog has some funny pictures of the werecats: http://urbanfantasy.blogspot.com/2009/10/poll-lolwerecats.html
