To be a series on Goodreads, books need to have more than a common theme -- like characters in common, an overarching storyline, a shared universe, etc. What makes this a series?

Yes, they take place in the same universe. Its a writing contest which every year comes out with a new book (short story anthologies books).

When you say the same universe, what do you mean? They appear to all be about vampires, but that alone does not make it a shared universe.

A sequence of anthologies on a shared theme does not constitute a series on Goodreads.

May I ask why is this a problem when the series already exists here? This is just new book in this series with fantasy theme. Like every year in the past.
