Russell's favorite, Deadline, is my favorite for the year so far, and Karen's Die Again is in my top 10, also. They are both my favorites in their respective series, also.

The Lord of Death
The Birds of Pandemonium (not a thriller, in fact it's non-fiction, but I loved this book.)
Guardians of the Night
My top four so far this year.
The Enemy by Tom Wood
Taunting The Dead by Mel Sherratt
Relentless Savage by Dave Edlund
Ultimatum by Simon kernick
But lots of my books have been four stars, these all five

TBOP was a five star for me too! :)

I loved Girl on a Train
Loved The Light Between Oceans (not a thriller)
Want to read Mel Sherratt

Books I was really impressed this year by - if possible 6 stars :-)
The order is just what I think how much you'll be interested in the particular book :-)
My Sister's Grave (Tracy Crosswhite #1) - multi genre (Mystery / Thriller / Drama / RS / ...)
True Conviction: An Adrian Hell Thriller (Adrian Hell #1) - Action Thriller
Perfect Opposite - multi genre (NA / RS / Drama / ...)
No Turning Back (Kathleen Turner #1) - RS
The Negotiator (O'Malley #1) - Christian RS
Sold to the Sheikh (Club Volare #1) - Erotica / Erotic Romance

I'm always happy to be of any kind of help to you ;-)

Totally recommended! A brilliant mix between financial, spy and geopolitical thriller! If you go to http://icarusprediction.com/ and suscribe to the mailing list you can get a copy for free. :)

The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson
The Second Captive by Maggie James
Swerve by Vicki Pettersson
The Magician's Lie by Greer Macallister
The Church of Marvels by Leslie Parry

Rage Against The Dying
Fear the Darkness (both by Becky Masterman)
Pretty Girls- Karin Slaughter
Currently reading Career of Evil- Robert Galbraith but already know it will be a favorite!

22-11-63, Shining, Carrie by Stephen King, and No Way Home by Patricia MacDonald.
Next year i want to read more Simon Kernick, James Patterson and discover Mo Hayder and Karin Slaughter...

Maybe the best spy thriller ever written!"
I am 15% into this at the moment and loving it so far :)
