YA/Childs horror series with 6 or so books, with continual story arc from 1997/1998 Worms and farm animals

I got these books as a set of I think 6 books from a school book sales flyer (UK)
These books were horror in theme, the cover art was colourful similar to some Goosebumps books
If I remember correctly it follows a child protagonist trying to find their farther
I believe the first book was about something like worm/leaches with I think four blue tongues later books I believe had crazed sheep and I think other farm animals but the story arc continued over all the books
I have looked at and don’t think its

Shivers
Animorphs
Creepers

The Animal Rebellion does have crazed sheep and other farm animals, but it's part of the Shivers series. It's definitely not that?

There are some similarities but the ones I'm after are a set of 6 books or so.
