Kelsie Vieaux | 3 comments The siblings’ house is very important to them and has a distinctive skylight (or glass ceiling of some kind). The two girls sneak off separately to find work; one is too young so she runs away, and gets taken in by a rich family. She lies to them about her age and starts working for them and ends up putting on a play with them for fun, and one of the men falls in love with her. The other sister finds a nearby town in need of a teacher and starts working in a small schoolhouse. The brother has to stay at the house since he’s the last sibling left and waits to hear back from his sisters.

I got this from the Chicago public library sometime in 2017-2018 but it won’t let me look back at my borrowing history.

It is set somewhere in the UK—I believe England—and was probably published sometime in the early to mid 1900s.

Kelsie, how old are the siblings? Is this book for teens or adults?

Kelsie Vieaux | 3 comments Based on the writing style I'd say it's probably more geared towards teens. I believe the youngest sibling was 16 (because they mentioned she was too young to get any real work), and the other two were probably somewhere between 18-24.

Kelsie Vieaux | 3 comments Resolved! This post is probably better deleted because I got a few of the details wrong. I was trying to think of the book The New Moon With the Old by Dodie Smith.
