I know Sarah, they are. I had a dog (before I had my kids), it got hit by a car and died. Horrible experience and I decided not to get another pet for a while. I took it pretty hard...Then I had my kids and believe me there is no way I can manage my "terrorists" and a pet at the same time. Because you have to have time for your pets, at least dogs, they need attention from you.

Growing up I always had pets...multiple pets (family and personal) They become family. :)

That's the same reason I don't have pets, I get too attached and it's too painful when I lose them. I still like pets though!
