Welcome Asher! I will be joining in with this read. :)

Icy-Cobwebs-In-Space (readingreindeerproximacentauri) | 215 comments I read this a couple days early cause I couldn't wait. I love it! Absolutely "scrumptious" in the horror sense. My review is available but didn't spoiler, so beware.:)

I'm on page 27 and the creep factor is delicious.

Asher, can you tell us a little about how you became a writer and who your influences were?

Only a horror writer would take "delicious creep factor" as a compliment!

Like many, my road to writing was long and winding, and it stretches all the way back to my childhood. From "Scary Stories to tell in the Dark" to "Goosebumps" to Stephen King to Leisure Fiction, my fate was pretty much sealed ;)

The influence of ol' Steve is often apparent in my work, Pigman being (I think) a shining example. I am also a screenwriter with a deep love for cinema, so often my prose stories are structured like films, even if that wasn't my conscious intent while writing them.

A more thorough answer to this question can be found in my interview on the Horror Show w/ Brian Keene, which is available to listen here:

Alexander (aroseinmktg) | 5 comments This is so fun. Some of the grotesquerie was simultaneously telegraphed and still impactful. Really impressive work, and I love the pig-man image that separates sections. Hilarious.
