& what is that?:P
If we mentioned it, how would it remain secret? :PBut on a serious note, we'll factor in books read last year and planned for this year.
Okay. :)I read 70 books last year and planning to read the same number this year too.:)
P.s: if its any help I read 70 books in 2013 also. :P
Me in as well...read 150... books ..wait lemme check. .no 163 books last year.. plan to read 300 ^_^ this time
Me in too! Read 101 books last year..and this year, plan to read 60 which will probably be changed to more :P
Last Year I read just 10 Book some are Mangas;comic and this I want to read 50 book, 2 I already done
I am sorry everyone but because of certain constraints in real life, the other two mods cannot come online and be active in the group, as much as they want to. Also there aren't enough people here for me to divide into proper teams and appoint a team captain etc., so we are going to have to abandon this challenge at the moment.
I am really sorry as I knew all of you (me included) were raring to go at this one. Hope you all understand!
Hopefully, once things settle down in their real lives, we can revive this challenge and get back to it with a bang!

We present you the grand, Read Runners Cup.
The rules are simple.
1. There will be three teams - with each mod as captain. Team co-captains will be chosen from nominations on this thread.
2. There are various ways to win points:
a) Read the BOTM and discuss it. 50 points
b) Participate in unofficial buddy reads. 20 points per COMPLETED BR.
c) Earn points for other challenges as specified.
d) From time to time, there will be badges that give you extra bonus points. The points from badges will be over and above the other points.
Badges for Jan and Feb:
Weekend warrior - start and finish a book over a weekend
Readaholic - read a 1000 pages in a week
So, the next steps are:
1. Each member who wishes to participate can volunteer on this thread, along with the number of books read last year and planned number this year.
2. Graphic novels are allowed, but only if they exceed 200 pages.
3. By the end of January, teams will be decided but points will be accumulated from 1 Jan onwards.
4. The prestigious trophy is a monthly award. If your team wins it for the month, you get an extra 20 points per member.
5. New members can only be added at the beginning of a month.
6. If a member leaves, or is inactive without information for 3 weeks, the teams can request for a replacement.
So, go on and have fun!
