I'm struggling to stay interested in the storyline

I am very late to the party, I know. Buy I started reading the book on Saturday and I am now about 150 pages in. I definitely won't finish it tonight, so technically I will not have completed the group read this month. But I really enjoy this book so far. I love Bri's songs and the melodic rythm the story is written in. This story has it all - keeps me wondering: Will Bri's mom get a job again? Who will Bri get together with? Will she actually make it as a rapper?
