Read it about 2 years ago I think. The girl dies to save a kid or something. In the afterlife she meets like an angel who assesses where her role would fit best in heaven, ultimately she gets assigned to be a fighter in gods army against the devil. Moreover, the leader or her captain I remember gets revealed later to be her grandmother. Also, I remember the picture of the book being a girl in all black leather with a sword.
