Great movie lines - Match Game

"Have I raped you?"
"The night is young.""
Hint: the second line is said by Faye Dunaway.

"There I was in prison, and one day I helped some nice older gentlemen make some free telephone calls. They turned out to be... let us say, good family men."
"Organized crime?"
"Ha, don't kid yourself. It's not that organized."
Hint: Think Nike. Think Adidas.

Jaws"
Lizzie will likely come back to confirm that, but I am sure that is correct. It's probably one of the most well known lines in ..."
Yes, Jaws is correct.

1. Post a great movie line that you remember.
2. Just the movie line. Don't identify the movie.
3. Let someone else in a subsequent post try to identify the movie.
4. Try not to use Google. This is a memory game.

Hint: Towanda"
Fried Green Tomatoes. Towanda gave it away.

Hint: Towanda"
Fried Green Tomatoes. Towanda gave it away."
That's correct. It was another great movie.

"So, I studied accounting at the University of Chicago, where fun goes to die."

"Come back from the grave and ran out of ammunition."

"Somewhere, some lucky guy's having a heart attack."
Hint: This actor, in another movie, said, "Here's Johnny!"

The Bucket List
As for the Hint - The Shining

"Somewhere, some lucky guy's having a heart attack."
Hint: This actor, in another movie, said, "Here's Johnny!""
The Buck..."
That's correct, Lizzie!

"Have I raped you?"
"The night is young.""
Hint: the second line is said by Faye Dunaway."
Another hint. This was a mid-70's spy flic. And hint number three would give it away.

"Come back from the grave and ran out of ammunition.""
Hint: Classic 80s horror film

This one is not what it seems.

Well, it certainly sounds like a sniper movie. The only one I've seen more than once is Shooter. If that is it, I don't remember that line.

No it is not it.

Raymond wrote: ""Oh, I ain't worried, Miss. Gave myself up for dead back where we started."
Hint: This is from an old movie about a boat."

Raymond wrote: ""Oh, I ain't worried, Miss. Gave myself up for dead back where we start..."
African Queen?

That's correct. The African Queen. One of my favourite Bogie films. I thought Hepburn was great, too.

That was more of a guess. An educated guess, but a guess.

"Have I raped you?"
"The night is young.""

Here's the answer: Three Days of the Condor. 1975. Robert Redford and Faye Dunaway. If you get a chance to see it sometime, it's a good one.

Thanks Gary. I am going to download the book today.

You say 1950s and a boat, I automatically think African Queen. Hepburn was great in that moive; Bogart was pretty good too.

Rita, my brother and I often used that line as we grew older. I'm sure I've heard it in one or more movies, but I can't place it. Sounds like something from the Bucket List, or one of George Burns' lines.

Hint: From another mid-70's movie."
The Marathon Man. Man that scene cut right through me.

I don't know if it was in a movie. Ch-Chi Rodriguez had been known to say it and I think in the 80s it was attributed to a congressman, Claude Pepper, who was a spokesperson for elderly groups. I always assumed it was one of those old saying that someone brought back into usage.

A hint? A science fiction film.

Aliens

Hint: From another mid-70's movie."
The Marathon Man. Man that scene cut right through me."
That's correct. That scene stays with you.

Sounds like something that Mae West would have said.

Yep

Network."
yes

Sounds like something that Mae West would have said."
It is.

"You didn't mean what you just said, did you?"
"When?"
"Just right now, when you were talking about bringing a child into the world, and having it be an act of cruelty."
"I meant it at the time."
"Stanley, "at the time"? You said it seven and a half seconds ago!"
Hint: These quotes were not from Sean Connery, but he was one of the stars of this movie near the end of his career.

Answer - I enjoyed many of Sean Connery's movies. This one was released in 1996 - "The Rock".

I figured this one would be easy. It is one of the poignant moments of the film and is heartbreaking.
