Same movie, she said, "When I'm good, I'm very good, but when I'm bad, I'm better."

Lizzie, those quotes are both well known Mae West quotes, but I have no idea from which movie or if they were used in several movies. You may as well tell us.

Mae West had a lot of good lines. These 2 were from I'M NO ANGEL. She received sole credit for the story and screenplay. The 2nd and last movie she did with Cary Grant.

Thanks Lizzie. I watch a lot of old movies. I especially like those from about the mid-40's to the mid-50's. I think I've seen most of the movies that Bogie and Bacall made, and also those with Hepburn and Tracy. This one was from the 30's, almost 90 years ago. If I ever saw "I'm No Angel", it's gone from my memory now. Mae West was some dame though.

Raymond Cushing | 225 comments A refresher.

Here is how this is supposed to work.

1. Post a great movie line that you remember.

2. Just the movie line. Don't identify the movie.

3. Let someone else in a subsequent post try to identify the movie.

4. Try not to use Google. This is a memory game.

"Ha, don't kid yourself. It's not that organized."

Hint: Think Nike. Think Adidas.

Answer: Another Robert Redford movie - Sneakers from 1992.

There were some other well-known actors; Dan Aykroyd, Ben Kingsley, River Phoenix and Sidney Poitier.

Wreck it Ralph 2?

message 486: by J. (new)

J. Gowin | 7997 comments I just watched one of my favorite movies. Here's the quote.

"I apologize... for not being entirely honest with you. I apologize for not revealing my true feelings. I apologize, sir, for not telling you sooner that you're a degenerate, sadistic old man. And you can go to hell before I apologize to you now or ever again!"

No. I don't know that one. Had to look up Ralph 2. I don't watch animations/cartoons very often.

Think college students and the usual crassness that goes with those movies. Since it was 2000, it involved mailing a video tape.

Lizzie | 2057 comments Lizzie wrote: "“It's supposed to be a challenge, that's why they call it a shortcut. If it was easy it would just be the way.”"

Since no one has guessed it - despite the few hints I could think of - the movie was "Roadtrip".

message 497: by Lizzie (new)

Lizzie | 2057 comments In the Christams theme,

“I planned out our whole day: First, we’ll make snow angels for two hours, and then we’ll go ice skating, and then we’ll eat a whole roll of Toll-House cookie dough as fast as we can, and then we’ll snuggle.”

message 498: by Lizzie (new)

Lizzie | 2057 comments From one of my favorite Christmas movies -

"Who gave you permission to tell Charlie there was no Santa Claus? I think if we're going to destroy our son's delusions, I should be a part of it."

message 499: by Lizzie (new)

Lizzie | 2057 comments "You're skipping Christmas! Isn't that against the law?"

message 500: by Lizzie (new)

Lizzie | 2057 comments Raymond,

“Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?”

That one has so many good lines.
