Gord's 2020 Reading Challenge

It's not sad. You read something at least and that's the important part. I just spend a lot of time reading. I read before I go to work, I read on the bus on the way to work, work is slow so I sneak in reading during the day, and I read after I get home for a bit. On Saturdays I usually stay in and spend the entire day reading and on Sundays I read a bit more. It's kind of my relaxed day. So I'll read but not as much. I've got to go out for supplies (food and more library books) and I watch a D&D campaign Sunday evening as well.

That's true. And that's great that you squeeze in reading wherever you can. I think my issue is I haven't really been motivated to read much lately, but I'll get out this slump eventually. I hope. Lol.

I've just passed 300 books read this year. Down to my last 100 to hit my my unofficial goal.

That's amazing Gord, well done. I usually only average 50 books a year but I'm at 57 now so I'm super happy with that.

This was a very comic/manga heavy month for me. I read 48 books with a total page count of 10,582 pages.

I didn't feel like I had a great month honestly. A lot of my time was spent slogging through slower books. I shouldn't be spending a full week on a 250 page book in my opinion. Still on track to hit my numbers for the year so that's always good.

Libraries are closed here again so no new comics for me for awhile. I still have a backlog out though so I can catch up maybe?

And your not a great month would be a rather excellent one for me. All about perspective

There is never any catching up. You finish one thing and there are five more things waiting to replace it. It's not a bad problem to have though.

I know number wise it wasn't a bad month and it was definitely an excellent month for some. I think it was just an off month for quality of books. Not that any of the books were overly bad just some of them were really slow going.

That's fair. Sometimes we pick too many duds. And that is so true always more waiting to take the books place.

I'm almost at my goals for the year. I know I can hit the book count but I'm not sure about the page count. I need nearly 11k pages to hit my page count for the year. It might happen but I have my doubts.
