I guess I didn't like the conversation Ari's dad had with him. I felt like his parents were pressuring him to be with Dante and I was mad that they pointed to his sticking up for Dante and saving his life. I just think that a straight guy that is a true friend would have done the same - friendship shouldn't have to have limits like that and the author was implying that he only did those things because he loved Dante and not because he was a loyal friend. It just bugged me the way it was presented. I mean ask yourself this - would the story have been equally good if Ari told his parents that he wasn't gay and just loved Dante as a friend and accepted him as gay? I think it would. Ari is a confused teen very curious abt everythng around him..he is curious abt girls,moms..he dont like to be around guys and nt interested in their talks..
He meets dante who teachs him hw to swim..they becmes frnds, he is ari's first frnd..dante is brilliant and veryy organizd..he has his own way abt everythng and gets to win in every argument coz he knws wht he is doing..
The relatnship btw dante and father is veryy real and ari envy him for tht,dante doesnt like shoes so he cmesup with playing by throwng off shoes.

Sme parts are funny and very cute coz i ve been a teen,so i kind of like thngs going in their mind

The two things I love are: how the author expressed/described Ari's feelings and made the book in Ari's point of view. Ari doesn't really like to talk about himself so it'd be hard to understand him.
