I read a plot description of this book between 2015-2017. It's a science fiction comedy(?) revenge story about a trader in space (I think) whose ship is destroyed, either from an attack or from an asteroid belt or similar natural hazard. It describes a moment where he resigns himself to his fate, but then another ship comes along to answer the distress beacon and just leaves him to die. He gets incredibly angry, so he resolves to track down the owners of the ship and get revenge against them.
