Hello, would like to introduce Ann PerryAnn Perry who is the new author of Flora, Fauna, Fairies and Other Favourite Things. She is also writing a children's picture book and, at the moment, waiting for the illustrations to be done. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Flora-Fauna-...
Hello, EveryoneMy name is Sophia, writing as S L Gibson. I am from London. I am a new IA and published my first ebook in May 2018. I read whilst escaping the reality of London commuting, and do enjoy many fiction genres including murder mystery, crime, PNR, thriller, fantasy, suspense, IR and Alpha female romance.
I am very much finding my way around Goodreads and enjoying myself immensely - groups, intro to new reads, and the passion of the members. I am reading through some of the UK AKF discussions and am sure I will enjoy this group, and I promise not to upset Patti, Lol.

Would love to interview with for your website. How do we proceed?
Benjamin wrote: "Welcome, Varun! And congratulations on your first book - it's always a weird feeling."Indeed a very good feeling Benjamin. Its pure creation and I am loving all the comments and reviews I am getting.
Hello! I'm Arbie. I like to read all sorts but fantasy is probably my favourite genre. I enjoy writing fantasy also and it often ends up in the sub-genre urban fantasy. That being said, I'm presently reading Lamentation and C.J.Sansom is for sure one of my favourite authors and Shardlake one of my favourite characters!
Other than reading and writing I spend a lot of time with my pets (I currently have 8 cats! -5 are foster kittens that are still with me), playing video games, or watching whatever Netflix demands of me - Parks and Recreation at the moment!
I look forward to reading more threads, and responding... no more a lurker I will be!
I'm back after a while in the Goodreads wilderness. Had dreadful issues of logging in, two accounts and all sorts of nonsense, but it's fixed now, thanks to a lovely Goodreads customer help person. What have I missed? LOL
Hi thereI only signed up to this group today, which is remarkable in a way because I have actually been a Goodreads member for a lot longer. The truth is I've never been particularly very good with self promotion and am also not overly sociable in my day to day life. Back when I first signed up to Goodreads I was completely naïve, believing that I had a best seller and that if I tried to advertise my work on here that people would lap it up. How wrong I was. This time round I want to do things right, so let me start by saying. Hello all. My name is Joseph Daniels and I love writing stories. The genre I read most is the mystery thriller, but I do also have a great fondness for fantasy and science fiction. I also watch a lot of movies, great TV shows like Game of Thrones and Buffy the Vampire Slayer and play way too many games on my PS4. I hope to be more active on here in the coming days, and have the chance to exchange messages and stories with as many of you as I can.
All the best
Joe

HI Jud
Thank you for the invitation.

Hello! Replied on profile because I'm rubbish with notifications - I'm sorry!
And thank you for the welcomes. :)
Hi all,I am new here, well obvious else I would not be writing this. I suck at knowing what to write for introductions like this, so bare with me. I am new to creativity, having a background in accounting and computers. I also hate being told no and that is the reason I went the self publishing route.
Being better with numbers than with words, writing has been an interesting experience. Currently I have three books on amazon with 5 more to complete for the series. The series is 2 by 2, meaning each 2 books is same genre with a total of 4 different genres for the full story. Yes, yes, I like even numbers. I also tend to ramble on a lot.
Living in Uk. man. here. Nice to meet and I'd like to say Hello. (OK, I'm an author, yeah, but I'm not begging for money. Well, if you wanna take my dog for a walk, you can be my friend. His friend too. How you feel about waggy treats?)
Hi, I’m James, avid reader and author of three books. Currently reading ‘Little Fires Everywhere’ and working on second part of my own zombie novel, ‘The Family’A cheeky link here to all my books here, https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_...
I’m an awful self publicist, but as a person who suffers from mental health issues I’ve found it a theme I enjoy working with, along side Dystopian settings and the odd zombie thrown in here and there! Favourite authors include Toby Stone and the grandfather of UK zombie fiction imo, Frank Tayell. Oh and I love my dog, who doesn’t write, but has been in one of my books (so far!)

Welcome James. I love stories about Zombies so I might check these out in the future. I wish you the best of luck!
Hello all. My name is Byron. I have been a bibliophile for all my life. I have a varied taste in books and will read anything that comes with a good recommendation. I am currently reading, Quiet by Susan Cain, Eragon by Christopher Paolini, The falcon of sparta by Conn Iggulden, Firebolt by Adrienne Woods, The Frame Up by Meghan Scott Molin. I am looking for friends on here to discuss books and life. Just generally like minded bibliophile's.
Hi Byron and welcome. You certainly believe in reading multiple books at a time! Is this because they are scattered all over the house and the office or do you just enjoy reading different genres?
Hello Rita. Thank you for the welcome. It's a great question and in all honesty it allows me to take breaks from a certain title if it's difficult to push through the title. It also is from reading from a young age. I would always have at least 2 books on the go, one for school and then one or more for pleasure. Maybe there is also some truth in what you have mentioned, about balancing multiple genres.
Hi! I'm Charles. This is my first time writing and illustrating. I've just finished publishing my first artistic children's book Blink Blink as a paperback and kindle ebook versions at amazon. I love to explore life and see what nature has to offer. I like to have fun and enjoy being able to change other people's lives especially children. My book is meant to be read with parents or significant others and that's what makes it a great way for parents to connect to their kids.
I hope to learn from everyone in this group. Thanks.
Well, I sidled into the forum again and dropped some comments in a few places that I thought might be allowed. Then I wondered whether my new member intro was still here, so I 'searched' the posts for myself.
I joined in February 2014! The thread doesn't seem to be around now, but I was quite active in the early part of 2014. I think I'd written about five books by then and had come up for a breather.
Then there was a post in 2015 about my dad's memoirs...
Then some in 2016...
I obviously don't spend much time visiting when I'm writing. I'm really sorry about that, because I read so many of your posts on the daily email of thread summaries. As I said somewhere, I'm a champion lurker.
When I'm not writing I'm reading, looking after my guinea pigs (favourite occupation), or playing golf badly. Or... to help Mans feel at home, birdwatching.
And I blog, do weekly reviews on that, and put all my reviews on Goodreads....
I live in Norfolk, and I'm trying to sell my house. Ah, stress, thy name is moving....
And in case I've confused people I know, I've just changed my avatar for the first time in 8 years, to a picture taken at the Bloggers Bash last year. That was great fun - tickets are on sale now...
Hi everyone.New to all this.
I am Scott. I am an indie author from Northern Ireland and published my debut novel, Inside Iris, in September 2018.
I write teen and YA work.
I am a teacher and have a passion for writing and exploring creativity with young people. Their ideas are awesome and they inspire me so much.
I read contemporary fiction and my favourite authors are Cormac McCarthy, Chuck Palahniuk, Douglas Copeland, Paul Auster and Haruki Murakami.
I am currently reading House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski.
My other interests are composing music and video content for YouTube. My passion for teaching means I like to create writing tips videos on my channel to help teachers and young, beginning writers explore writing for the first time.
All of my social media channels are SG Fiction and my website is www.sgfiction.co.uk if you want to see more of what I'm about.
I am keen to network with authors with similar interests to me so feel free to add me!
Scott
Hi all. I joined this group quite while ago and this is my first post. No excuses, just never got around to it. Anyway, I’ve just started Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch and it’s going well. My reading tends to skip around between genres. I’ll read virtually anything, the proviso being that it has to be a good story, well told.....and that goes for non fiction as well.
Hi Martin, Scott, Jemima, Mans & Charles! I'm sure you will enjoy your time on Goodreads.I'm looking for authors to interview next month on my website www.ritaleechapman.com. If anyone is interested, please contact me through the website.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_...Hey guys check out my new poetry book. Available on Amazon. E-book and paperback.
It has been a busy year but I am available for interviews.
