Hello and welcome! Please feel free to open new threads where we can discuss your interests.
Don't worry about where a new thread should go. Rosemary and I are happy tidy up the group when necessary.
Good morning, Ben!I'm just about to make a fresh cafetière of Ethiopian coffee. It's lovely and smoooooooth.
Shall I get one for you as well?
Welcome Colin! You share interests with many in the group.
What's your favourite coffee? Mine is Kenyan Peaberry. And Vietnamese. Yum!
Welcome, Colin!I'm a keen reader (and writer) of psychological horror as well. Any particular favourites?
We Have Always Lived in the Castle is fantastic - definitely get onto that as soon as possible.I'd also recommend Caitlin Kiernan's The Drowning Girl - not so well-known, but a really interesting read.
Welcome Johanna! You'll like the just finished just started thread and the five star thread.
Looking forward to seeing reccies from you!
Hi, my name is Tim and I live the the Deep West of rural Gloucestershire. My tastes are wide but mainly sci-fi, fantasy, crime, military history and historical fiction. My Reading Challenge this year is 100, the same as last year, but have so far finished 16. Have had shingles and flu since the New Year so there may be a correlation between disease and reading progress.
Hello everyone! It looks like a lovely group and I'm hoping for many interesting conversations here! I'm not in the UK, but have spent some time there and remain fascinated by all things British (studying English sometimes has that effect). I'm doing research on readers' perceptions of texts - would you help me out by filling in a survey?

Hello! I'm Katy. Just getting back into reading after a long time off.
Used to be a member here a long time ago, so thought I'd re-introduce myself.
Robert EverhartHello all,
I’m Rob.
During my years writing copy for a retail catalog and website, I always had a story is some state of suspension. Happy to finally put one up for perusal.
I read daily and enjoy thrillers, suspense, westerns and short stories. My favorite writing is the tight, minimalist work of Hemingway, Leonard, Chandler, McCarthy and Carver. But I can also spend hours reading Bradbury and Faulkner. Like nearly all readers, I read everything, and can find inspiration in most.
I’m an IT Analyst out in the real world and spend my days trying to explain how continuing to click a thing won’t make you any happier.

But I'll bet they keep clicking, right?
