Finding the right genre can be hard. Is my book a memoir, a biography or autobiography, LBGT or even erotica? The last because it does contain some explicit sex in a few places. I've never really had feedback about the genre placement but it has got a lot of 5 star reviews. I wish you success with your book.

Thanks Patrick. I never even thought about the Erotica label but there are some naughty bits in it! I had to forewarn my mother in law (still not sure I am going to be able to look her in the eye!)

I am just getting use to the Goodreads site at the moment, but I am looking forward to reading all your comments. So here is a big hi to you all again.

DebbieK | 6 comments Oh I forgot, I live in Macclesfield, Cheshire and love reading memoirs, but in fact, my tastes in reading changes all the time. Last month I ended up reading lots of George Orwell's books. At the moment, I'm into pasta dishes (quick to make) and love drinking soda water and lime especially on hot days.

Welcome DebbieK. I'm new here too, and love. Still learning my way around as well. I just wanted to say, I admire so much what you are doing at 56. Good for you!!! So sad what happened in Manchester. My heart cries every time I hear about these senseless acts. As a matter of interest, I have a book out, if you happen to read it, I would love your opinion. Thanks. Sarah | 1 comments Hello, my name is Sarah. I have only recently found my reading mojo and it was a Kindle that "rekindled" it. Last September I was given a Kindle by my partner. Before that, I had not read a book in 17 years (kids, life etc got in the way). Since getting my Kindle in September, I have not stopped reading and I wonder why I ever stopped. I look forward to joining in.

I'm a huge lover of kindle on my phone. It makes the commute to work a pleasure instead of a chore. I have a proper kindle too, but phones are just too handy.

I still love read physical books and they look great on shelves.

Zane Šturme | 1 comments Hi everyone!

My name is Zane, I come from Riga, Latvia. I am studying classical music(playing viola, studying Master in Denmark at the moment) since I am a kid and I love it.
I've always had warm heart towards books- I guess I can say "thanks" to my mom as I spent all the hours after school at her work- a library. Back then it was rare editions sector and it smelled so good! I could climb up and down the ladders and upper half floor where I could sit on the floor and read my own books. It was magical place for me.

I like reading in public transport or while I travel. Sometimes, even during night in the kitchen, not being able to put the book away.
And although I am mostly reading books on my Kindle, I still prefer paperbacks because it's something completely different to smell and feel the pages rather than looking at the screen.

I don't have that many books-reading friends as everyone is turning to technologies and make excuses that they don't have time for it so I hope me joining this group, will make a change :)

Craig Maxwell | 2 comments Hi Everyone,

This past year I've really engrossed myself into reading books I used to despise reading as a kid, but I later found out why when I reached University that I had severe dyslexia! So that answered a lot of questions.

Since then I've actually enjoyed reading! I love Graphic Novels, Comics, mainly crime thriller novels - but I do dabble elsewhere! I really want to see what everyone is reading on here and have genuine interactions with people to see what books they'd recommend!

message 1991: by L.A. (new)

L.A. Kent | 3925 comments Welcome Craig. It still surprises me to hear that Dyslexia can take so long to become apparent, and also that some of those with it are treated so badly by others with little understanding.

Enjoy!

I love sharing book joy!

message 1994: by Daniel (new)

Daniel Balkwill | 1 comments Hi Guys, I just joined your group. I wrote my first book, An Island Paradise, which was published on Kindle Direct Publishing recently. It's a romcom based in the Seychelles where I've been living for the past five years. Writing the book was great fun but marketing it has been considerably less enjoyable. I was hoping that some of you might read and review it. It's free to download from 7-11th July. If any of you have any books to review I'd be delighted to reciprocate the favour. Thanks, Dan

Meg Chambers | 4 comments Hi all! I'm Megan and from the West Mids. I mainly read YA (I'm 16 so it makes sense to read it) I'll give anything a shot. I don't write myself but really love reading and making new friends that read too

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Hello Megan! Lovely to meet you.

message 1998: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21819 comments welcome aboard Megan. There are a lot of readers and writers here (and a lot of people who do both :-) )
But best of all the writers don't try and sell their books all the time, and the readers have a really wide range of tastes and a lot of them read YA well into their 'more mature years' so I'm sure you'll find lots to chat about

God's Amazing Grace: A Collection of Inspirational Poems and Stories

http://amzn.eu/bNXYhdQ

The Author created this book in the same styling of writing as the Author's do for 'Chicken Soup For The Soul' books. All Stories are true life experiences. Names and Locations changed to protect the identities of all individuals involved. The author was somehow one of the characters of three of the enclosed stories. The fourth short story was on other hand was created using several combined stories that was shared with her; to create one heartwarming story. Each photograph taken and poem was written by the author and shared to help inspire and make a connection between the reader and stories being told. I The Author hopes you the reader will find enlightenment. Perhaps a sense of believe that anything is possible. When you are at the end of your rope..... You can survive what seems un-survivable. Or perhaps you can see the true love that is within and worth never giving up the search for. Happy Reading
