Welcome, Ferrel! I love your name. I don't think I've ever heard it before, but that may be because I'm an American.

Hi Mario! Welcome to the group!
It's wonderful that you are reading English books to improve your language skills. I struggle with German and Spanish, but I can't imagine reading my books in another language.

Hi Ferrel,
My books are all on Amazon's KDP program and they seem to do well. My publisher tells me it's hard to keep track of royalties because Amazon pays per page read, but the support you get from an entity like Amazon can't be beat. It's worth the effort. Just my two cents.

Hi Flo,
Yes, your systems for money and weight are very different from ours. I don't know how many 'stones' I weigh, and I'm happy that way. It's bad enough in pounds.
Jane wrote: "Dawn. I reckon stones is better. Less in number."Good thinking Jane - think I'll stick with stones!!
Hi Michael, you're very welcome. As far as finding your way around, just follow the trail of bacon ;) At least you'll get lost in interesting places...

Thank you, Patti - my pet peeve, though I fear that battle has already been lost.
Welcome Michael, there's not many of us so just follow follow the trail!! Hard to get lost........ except at first, but don't worry.......

Patti has the right of it.
But:
Grammar is there to be squidged if it suits one's purposes.
Less sounds less than fewer. So I went for less.

Now, there's a fun word: squidged:-)
Hey group! What a great bunch you seem to be :) I'm Aled and for those who like free stuff my book is currently free for four days. The colours of our petals
Aled wrote: "Hey group! What a great bunch you seem to be :) I'm Aled and for those who like free stuff my book is currently free for four days. T4bsF (Call me Flo) wrote: " love the Tudor period. ..."it is one of our more fascinating periods.
However my daughter studied it so often and in such depth they almost managed to sicken her of it!
I don't think I could get sick of it Jim. I always live in the hope that I will find something out that I hadn't heard before.
Have you read The Steel Bonnets: The Story of the Anglo-Scottish Border ReiversWritten by the author of the Flashman Books, it's a history rather than a novel, but is very readable
It does look interesting Jim - but I don't usually part with anything more than a fiver for a book - so I think I'll leave it on my wishlist until the price comes down a bit. :-)
Couldn't possibly Jim. I have a confession to make - as long as you promise not to tell anyone else........ I'm a Kindle-aholic!!

That damn Jim is always trying to force dead tree books on us.
I should smack him again. It's been a while and he's getting cocky.

This thread looks a little more than introductions, but here goes. I'm Peter, I'm on my third Kindle (a Paperwhite) and I have a frighteningly large Kindle library, both nonfiction (history, international politics, biography) and fiction (often detective, spy etc). Thanks, moderators, for the brilliant 'quick start' message, which other groups could learn from.
Hello Peter, lovely to meet you. We are a happy group and welcome all new members, please feel free to pull up a chair and help yourself to coffee, if you are very lucky Patti will do you a bacon buttie, if she hasn't already eaten all the bacon !
Welcome Peter. Loads to do with loads of very different people..........some like bacon........some like it more...........some like fish ............ some like their fish wrapped in bacon...........enjoy!
Just had breakfast, but thanks anyway. My Kindle backlog is probably because I get the Daily Deal email and invest 99p in anything I like the look of, for future enjoyment. I probably only buy one or two a month, but they mount up.`
I'll pop over to the author section and do a quick post there, before I get down to work.
