I know we have a thread for graffiti, but I didn't realize that we don't even have a folder for it but we have quite a few posts about Banksy for one, and other graffiti.
IMO, Banksy isn't graffiti, his work would aptly be called 'street art' because it is art! And many other talented people have created works on walls.
Yes, I will say some are not placed where they would be referred to as 'art' because of their location. And some should be removed, painted over, etc. just because it is defacing something else.
But I enjoy how they have put shatter-proof glass over many of Banksy's works as to prevent them from being destroyed.
I am designating graffiti and other art on walls or in the streets, sidewalks, etc. to this folder. Now we won't have the Banksy reviews all over the place and we can find them when we want to follow up, or whatever. In addition, I found an interesting article in the NYTimes that I want to post and honestly, I can't even find the graffiti thread. So here's a folder for it all!
