Four days in and no nominations yet? Is anybody reading these?

LindaJ^ (lindajs) | 2548 comments I'm not nominating this month, as Infinity sounds interesting (and it's short!).

Thanks Vesna. I haven't decided whether to nominate yet, since I am already doing the August/September moderator pick.

Linda, "interesting and short" is exactly why I decided to nominate it, hopefully to attract the attention or, if needed, more nominations. I read his The Cemetery in Barnes and short story collection, and I'm puzzled that he is not more widely read. Infinity was highly recommended by a few GR friends.

Hugh, either way is fine. I look forward to it.

Infinity sounds great - I've never heard of the book or the author, probably because I'm in the US. It reminds me of another comic interview book, Rameau's Nephew, which I read as an undergrad and laughed my butt off. I've never found another book in the same vein till now, so thanks for helping me find my holy grail! It's not in any libraries near me, but it sounds worth a purchase!

Nadine, now Rameau's Nephew is added to my ever-expanding TBR list. Love the idea! A GR friend recently reviewed Nathalie Sarraute's memoir Childhood written as a dialogue with her own younger self. Not an interview, but a self-dialogue (if that's the right word) that prompted some very creative reviews. :-) You might be interested to check it out. I'll read it at some point.

LindaJ^ (lindajs) | 2548 comments Vesna, I read The Cemetery in Barnes because so many GR friends gave it 5 stars. I was not so impressed but willing to read another.

I really liked The Cemetery at Barnes and should read more of his work.

And Childhood is now on mine ;)

Bretnie | 838 comments I'll put in a late nomination!

Everything Under by Daisy Johnson

It's been on my shelf for a while so I need an excuse to pick it up!

Sorry, I forgot about this poll, which ended a few days ago. Infinity is the winner.
Vesna, are you happy to lead the discussion?
