Even though I haven’t played the game and there’s no dialogue till the end and there are clearly story elements happening between these scenes, I had no trouble following the threads.
The animation is truly spectacular.

I watched the Black Lotus on Adult Swim. I like the way they put year 2020 and left the two letters AD or AH to show what calendar the blade runner set in. To me , it might be the Hijra Islamic calendar.
Which 2020 AH ~= 2598 AD .
And the DNA Sequences might be Neanderthals/Denisovans that make Elle the one.

I loved it. I didn’t get to watch it until last night. Easily the best of the Marvel TV series by a country mile. It’s the only one that doesn’t feel like it was altered significantly halfway through production.
Since it’s been spoiled by headlines (WHY do article writers do that?!), the return of Vincent D’onofrio’s Kingpin was interesting. He was one of the best things of the Netflix Marvel shows. (view spoiler)
I also liked the payoff of the Black Widow movie, which makes that movie seem less of a pointless side story.

It was good fun... Nice watching a self contained story that doesn't have earth shattering consequences..

Also woulda figured a bounty hunter would be a better fighter, and have better situational awareness. Oh well, only five episodes left, I'll give 'em watch.

I thought it was okay. They had to answer that looming question of, “So how DID he survive the Sarlaac?” Which they did rather well, and succinctly, to boot. The follow-on experiences with the sand people follows the standard tropes of Western movies, and I am fairly positive that 90% of the audience has no knowledge of them, so this will all look new and cool to them. For instance, there were bits directly out of A Man Called Horse, but they were solidly executed.

In a few scenes I saw Temuera channelling his ancestry and doing a bit of a Haka.
Just needed a bit more tongue action ;-)

For those who’ve read the Star Wars: Doctor Aphra, Vol. 1: Aphra comics, the appearance of Black Krrsantan foretells great mayhem on the horizon.

It is a Indian film production, but has a very European / American style. No Bollywood singing here!

I found the aesthetics of the sets, costumes, music etc extremely beautiful and atmospheric and the actors were good, but the plot wasn’t as engaging as Season 1. They’ve responded to criticism by streamlining the narrative and tbh I found it less interesting. There was also less humour than before although I did enjoy Jaskier’s scenes.
I also found the action scenes less compelling than before- I think they’ve changed the way they film them in response to Henry Cavill getting injured and they now feel less fluid.
I haven’t read beyond Blood of Elves, nor have I played the games, so the revelations of the final episode were pretty “wtf??” for me!

I was so excited to see BK on the screen! You can ask Bambi, I geeked out!

I was just excited to find a gif of Bambi nodding. 😆
(There are actually several, much to my surprise.)

It’s John Wick but with a heart and soul.

I'll see it eventually. But really, just get the large-format hardcover of Kirby's original and marvel at the artwork in the first four issues. Available at most big city libraries if you balk at the price.

I am not hating the show, but this person is by no means Boba Fett. This one...is all about sparing people and loving his dog? Not the guy who said "He's no good to me dead."

That Geezer mods clip - so isn't the Brighton I know! :-D

I also watched The Witcher Season Two on Netflix.
I am watching The Book of Boba Fett on Disney Plus. It is released week by week and will be completed in February 2022.
Next, I plan to watch Star Trek Discovery Season 3 on DVD from the Library. They released seven episodes of Season 4 last year and the other six will be released before March 2022 on Paramount Plus

You may remember they had a record breaking Kickstater campaign a couple of years ago to raise 750 thousand dollars to make one episode and ended up making 11 million. Then Amazon partnered with them and there will be at least 2 seasons now.

It’s super great, right? And the gorgeous animation is unlike anything I’ve ever seen.

Currently on Amazon Prime in the States.
I have been enjoying the Apple TV+ show Severance. It is a sci-Fi thriller with lots of mystery.
It's about a guy who agrees to have his brain split in 2 (the severance the title refers too) so that he can work in a top secret underground base.
His outside brain (his "Outie") has no idea what his work brain does or experiences and vice versa. They switch on the elevator ride down to the underground base and nothing from either life can be bought in or out.
The work brain is constantly at work and has no say in whether they work or not. They leave work going up the elevator and, for them, they are instantly on the elevator going back down to work. They can't quit the job unless their "outie" agrees to it. They also have no idea what they are working on. They are sorting numbers on a computer screen, based on emotions and have no idea what the numbers relate to. Only that there is some real world application. They have to comply or they are treated to psychological manipulation until they do comply.
For the work brain it is some sort of Kafka-esque living hell of constantly working in a bureaucratic hell where the bosses can psychologically torture you. There are a few employees that either enjoy the experience or have been there long enough to have been ground down into thinking they enjoy it.
Of course there is a mystery involving both halves of our protagonist's life. Neither side aware of the other's involvement and various conspiracies.
There are 4 episodes so far and it will be interesting to see where they take this.
Oh BTW it has Christopher Walken in it as some minor department employee. He looks after "Optics & Design". He arranges the decor and paintings on the wall (Which I don't believe for a second) I expect to find out he is somewhere close to the top of the corporate tree and is running the show.

Well, now I am wondering if it has any shared DNA with Counterpart. I cannot recommend that show strongly enough (J.K. Simmons is a treasure).

I just watched the finale today. Way better than I could have reasonably hoped for.
